Why your Twin isn’t Ultimately Who You Want

Why your twin is not who you want is simple. He can’t give you what you want. This is a heartbreaking truth, it hurts. It is really hard to accept that. To believe that. Because here is supposedly your other half. What?

How would you not fall for that. 

How would this not present the whole solution to all your problems? 

If you move all of that into your twin, you lose touch with yourself. Your twin is supposed to get you more in touch with yourself. The reflection you see is supposed to bring you closer to yourself. It is a gift that the twin gives you. You’re meant to come home, to yourself. The illusion is that you see another body in front of you. And you project all your hopes and desires, dreams and wishes onto that person. You’re able to see your projections because they mirror them back to you. Unfiltered, impolite. That’s why it hurts so much. Because you see yourself and you can’t run away from it. 

Uff.. Can’t run away from yourself. Sit with that.

A natural reaction is to try to do everything to distract yourself, which is what many of us have always done. 

But your twin will break you out of it. They will smash the illusion of separation, so that all that’s left is your pure form. No glamour, no decoration, no perfection. The raw truth. And that’s your gift. Although it doesn’t seem like it.

The biggest gift someone can give you is the truth. 

People might tell you otherwise. They might tell you to hide from the truth. That the truth is dangerous. The world is designed to distract you. When you are in touch with your truth, you are powerful. When you speak your truth, you are even more powerful. Your twin is assisting you in finding your truth. In remembering who you really are. The you that was never born and will never die. The you that was here before people told you who you were.

This is the beauty of the journey. So let go of your twin, you don’t need them.
